Playing with blocks!

Just playing, here...another layout!  Something is wrong on the left side...I will figure it out and play more later.    It is much easier to see in the picture.  I hope each of you has a wonderful day today!!

Log Cabin style quilt blocks can be fun to play with. Turn them and a whole new design appears.

there's more than something wrong on the left side! On the right side your blocks are out of kilter too.

Lovely quilt--some blocks just don't want to play by the rules lol hugs, Julierose

Funny how you got the top and bottom row correct. You need a map - or a diagram. It helps. It's a very pretty quilt.

Photos are the best way to see layout errors. I did the exact thing yesterday. LOVE this scrappy Log cabin, best kind!

I have also been playing with log cabin blocks today.
I think I am going with a zig zag setting.

Nice to have these pretty blocks to play with. You could leave it just like this and call it the Hashimoto setting!

Not always easy to lay out the blocks! Even more so when we think it is a simple block and it will go without a stink. Sorry to say but I think both sides need a little tuning. Other than that, it looks great and I love it. At least you don't have to rip the seams. ;^)

Dear Julei,
you are so creative, I think just 3 blocks need to be turned so the white starts on top to continue the Zig-Zag.
Looking forward for which layout you will go for.
Greetings,
Sylvia

I just finished 81 log cabin blocks that I need to play with. May be the hardest part of making this quilt. Love your blocks!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
