Drama mostly over!

HI all:

First and foremost, I want to thank all of you for your prayers and thoughts during this time, while dear husband has been in the hospital. After my last post, I got a call in the middle of that night to return to the hospital where he had a heart rate in the 30's and blood pressure very low, and he had stopped kidney function. He went to ICU after recovery room, not his regular room, and he has remained in intensive care. We got his blood pressure improved with Levophed and IV fluids(his weight is up 20 pounds), and guess what? They sent him home late today. So I am so grateful, now we are just worrying about all the excess fluid and wondering about getting some cautious diuretics to get it off without dumping his BP down low again. So that is where we are! But he is here, he is OK, and my heart is rejoicing for that!!!

Again, my thanks to you!!!

Julie

Oh, my goodness...what a SCARE (and how fast hospitals send folks home nowadays after serious post-op complications)!!!! I hope this is the last of any scary moments for you and his recovery from this point onward is swift and smooth!

I know he could not have a better person looking after him, but honestly, why are hospital & insurance companies so focused on the $$$$. I hope he recovers without any further complications, still thinking of you both.

What a scary time you've had. It's a good thing that you're a nurse and know what's going on... hope he'll be up and about before too long... and hope you don't end up too exhausted! I'll be praying for you!

How horrible to get a call in the middle of the night like that. I am glad he is well enough to be home now. Lucky you are a nurse and will know if something is wrong. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing from now on till full recovery.

I am just reading of your scare...oh Julie... I will most certainly have you both in my prayers, as of now! I wish I had come by sooner, bless you hearts!!

I know your DH will have the best Nurse ever with you taking care of him!

Hope the drama is completely over now and that you're both getting some rest. He'll probably start peeing the extra pounds off now that his body is getting back to normal. You probably have him sleeping in a recliner anyway, so his breathing will be okay.

Take care of yourself, too!

The early release of your dear hubby hopefully signals a good outcome is expected--of course, you being a nurse is maybe a factor! Hope he continues to improve rapidly and your minds and hearts are at ease very soon.

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
